Simpson thrilled to escape Lachey's sports talk
Pop beauty Jessica Simpson is thrilled her husband Nick Lachey has landed a job as a TV sports reporter, because she'll no longer have to listen to him at home.
Former 98 Degrees star Lachey has previously shared his sports views on TV, radio and print, and he's now signed up to cover his favourite topic on US cable network ESPN.
And his wife couldn't be any happier, explaining: "There's nothing I'd rather him do than be on ESPN and talk about sports then I don't have to hear it at home!"

Jessica forgets the ring
Sexy Singer/ Actress Jessica Simpson showed up without her wedding ring to a party at trendy New York City restaurant Ono at the Hotel Gansevoort recently reports People Magazine. The Pop Diva who is often snapped without her symbol of love, denied that it was anything more than a moment of absent-mindedness. "You know, I left it on my bed stand, I'm forgetful. I forgot all my jewelry, except this," she said, pointing to a beaded necklace around a pal's neck. "And I'm wearing it!" added she.
The speculation didn't put a damper on the star's night out with her girlfriends. After partying at Ono, Jessica Simpson headed over to nearby Italian restaurant Vento with her posse of 12 pals for a late-night dinner reports People Magazine.

David LaChapelle Angry with Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee have been dismissed by legendary photographer David LaChapelle as "everything wrong with culture, and everything wrong with art".
The bitter words stem from an argument between the two parties about a Rolling Stone cover shoot gone wrong.
"We've worked with everyone from Madonna to Janet Jackson, and have never had someone so on-again, off-again as the Simpsons," claims LaChapelle's producing partner Fred Torres.
"In the ten years I've worked with David, I've never known anyone to be so difficult as they were."
However, the Simpson party claims they aren't the ones at fault, with an insider saying: "The girls were looking for a photographer who wasn't a one-trick pony. He's good at what he does, but that's it."
The last word, however, goes to LaChapelle himself: "I was only doing it because of my relationship with Rolling Stone," he said. "We were going to try and make the Simpsons look cool. I realize now that is an impossible task."

Jessica Simpson wants 'slutty and hot' video
Sexy Pop Star Jessica Simpson is getting ready to revamp her image and take control of her sound on her upcoming album reports Perez Hilton. In an effort to kill her good girl image, Jessica is working on an album of sexy songs -- think Britney Spears 'Slave 4 u.' Jessica Simpson is in the studio with hip-hop superproducer Scott Storch Storch collaborating on a song called Fired Up, which is going to be the kickoff single off her new album.
"Jessica just had a storyboard session last week for the video, and she said that she wanted it to be 'slutty and hot. Jessica vented that she didn't want to always be this virginal wife," says a source. "She wants to be on the top of the sexiest polls, wanted by all the men's magazines, lusted by guys the world over."
Fired Up is a very UN-Jessica song. It's all about the boys in the club hollering at her, and the girls singing for her. She kinda screams in the song (a bit like Gwen does in Hollaback Girl).

Margera severs ties with Simpson
Former JACKASS star BAM MARGERA has severed ties with pop beauty JESSICA SIMPSON in a bid to end speculation about the pair's rumoured affair.
Margera's friendship with Simpson was strained in May (05) when his father told a radio station that his son and the married DUKES OF HAZZARD star had slept with each other.
And while Margera spoke out the following month to explain that they did fall asleep on the same couch but nothing sexual happened, he's now decided that there's only one way to combat the rumours and gossip.
He says, "I just stopped talking to her altogether."

Pregnant Pop Star, Britney Spears, says she has nothing but love for Singer Jessica Simpson.
According to reports Britney was being considered for the role of Daisy Duke, in The Dukes of Hazzard, until Jessica Simpson auditioned. Britney says that she was fated to be pregnant this year and so the part would have been incompatible with promotion duties - reports Digital Spy.
"Yeah [I was offered the role). Ashton Kutcher was supposed to be in it too. But things change and happen for a reason. That wasn't my time. I'm supposed to be pregnant now. And I'm proud of Jessica - she's doing really well."

Jessica Simpson denies having anorexia
The 25-year-old credits her strict religious Texan upbringing, with giving her a love of food and said: "My love for myself will never outshine my love of eating."
But, Simpson who starred in the MTV reality show 'Newlyweds' with her husband and former 98 degree's singer Nick Lachey, has slammed record bosses for putting intense pressure on her when her second album 'Irresistible' flopped in 2001.
The blonde beauty, 25, was devastated by her failure and admits that was probably her lowest point. 'I had people breathing down my neck, telling me which way to turn and I felt like I was becoming a machine, manufacturing a product that had nothing to do with me. It is very easy to get caught up in what people want from you, or in people telling you how amazing your body is, that is pressure for you."
But with 'Duke's of Hazzard' doing well both US and UK box offices and her new record 'These Boots Are Made For Walking', taken from the soundtrack to the film doing well in the charts, Jessica says she has passed that dark stage in her life.
"As cheesy as it may sound, being yourself is what truly makes you a success. Insecurity is everyone's biggest battle, it doesn't matter who you," she added.

Hilary Duff Thinks Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson Are Immature
'Material girl' Hillary Duff slammed her pop rivals, Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson for being too focused on their sexy image and neglecting their music.
Hilary said: "It's so funny, because with Jessica Simpson... a lot of people talked bad about Britney Spears and gave her so much flak, and I don't see any difference. I think if you feel comfortable with what you're doing, more power to you, that's what you should be doing. But I definitely do not think taking your clothes off or going out and getting wasted every night is a sign of maturity."

At NFL Tribute To Sept. 11
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson will sing as part of the NFL's marking of the fourth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
Lachey and Simpson will sing "America the Beautiful" at the Washington area's FedEx Field on Sept. 11 before the Redskins-Bears game.
Their performance will be televised nationally on CBS and Fox before the nine regular-season opening games at 1 p.m. Eastern.

Celeb Watch: Simpson sisters
When Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey first started dating in 1999, they kept their relationship on the down-low (if you can believe it). Simpson says she knew that Lachey's 98 Degrees fans weren't ready to accept that the singer had a special someone in his life. "At the time, girls would've thrown tennis shoes at me," the Dukes of Hazzard star says.
Now that they've been married for almost three years (the Newlyweds' anniversary is in October), Simpson is happy to gush about her man any chance she can get. Simpson will soon be celebrating another momentous occasion: her 21st birthday on Oct. 3. What to give the girl who's got everything? "I want so much wine and champagne," she says. "I just got a new house and I have the wine rack. So I want to fill that up. As far as clothes and diamonds, I don't need that."

Jennifer Aniston Slams Jessica Simpson's 'Dukes'
Jennifer Aniston may have something in common with most movie critics. The 36-year old former 'Friends' star is said to have slammed Jessica Simpson's movie "The Dukes of Hazzard".'According to an item in Star People, Jen was able to hit the screening of the 'Dukes' a few weeks back while in Chicago filming her upcoming film, "The Break Up."

Star People gives this account:
Sources say Brad Pitt's ex walked out of an August 6 screening of "The Dukes of Hazzard" that she attended with hairstylist Chris McMillan. According to the report Jen bailed on the TV remake after just 30 minutes. Later she was reportedly overheard giving her review of the film. Well--at least what ever she took in for her half-hour viewing. Jen's short and sweet review: "It sucked."
She's not alone. The Hazzard County gang was slammed by critics as on the popular movie review website "Rotten Tomatoes" the film only gathered a positive review from 16% of movie critics. The film has had some reasonable box office success despite the critics as in its third week; it has grabbed a North American box office total of nearly $69 million in box office cash, despite Jen's alleged "sucky" review
