Simpson joins Mayer on tour

Pop star Jessica Simpson has joined boyfriend singer John Mayer for part of his tour in Florida. The 26-year-old arrived in Miami early on Monday (22JAN07) to meet up with Mayer, 29, at the Four Seasons Hotel.
A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "Jessica flew in very early after a red-eye flight on Monday morning and spent the day with her boyfriend. They went to the gym and the spa before going out for the evening."
The couple were spotted having a romantic sushi dinner at the Shore Club's Nobu in South Beach and arrived at the restaurant holding hands. The pair left at 11:30pm and spent the night together in the Four Seasons' Presidential Suite. On Tuesday (23JAN07), they board Mayer's tour bus and travel together to Jacksonville, Florida, where Mayer is scheduled to perform on Thursday night (25JAN07).

Get ready John Mayer fans. Three weeks after getting cozy in New York over New Year's Eve, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer made another cute-couple appearance, this time in Miami, People Magazine is reporting.
Mayer fans seemed repulsed by the idea that their very talented and deep musician might actually be hooking up with the pop starlet and actress, but the sightings have hit a number where it is a bit tough to deny.
People has all the details. The magazine reports that on Monday, the pair worked out together at their hotel's Sports Club/LA gym, taking a yoga class and then lifting weights a deux, sources said.
They also went out that evening according to the article. The too cute pair arrived hand-in-hand at The Shore Club's Nobu restaurant, where they sat and talked for more than two hours over sushi and bottled water, she in a revealing black dress, he in a black sweatshirt and jeans.
That sounds about right. "They looked really cute together," a witness at Nobu tells the weekly entertainment magzine. "They were talking and laughing the whole time. She was constantly fixing herself to make sure she looked her best for him."

The box-office bomb Sharon Stone received seven nominations Monday for the Razzie Awards that mock the bottom of Hollywood's barrel, among them worst picture and worst actress of the year. Also receiving seven nominations was the Wayans brothers comedy "Little Man," about a thief posing as a baby, including worst picture and director for Keenen Ivory Wayans.
Shawn and Marlon Wayans shared a worst-actor nomination, while sisters Hilary and Haylie Duff shared a worst-actress nomination for "Material Girls."
The other worst-picture nominees were the fantasies "BloodRayne" and "Lady in the Water" and the thriller "The Wicker Man."
Winners will be announced Feb. 24, the day before the Academy Awards.
Joining Stone and the Duffs in the worst-actress category were Lindsay Lohan for "Just My Luck," Kristanna Loken for "BloodRayne" and Jessica Simpson for "Employee of the Month."

So Elite reports that Haylie Duff was getting shady on Jessica Simpson's hair extension line recently.
There's nothing we like better than a celebrity making fun of another celebrity. Napolean Dynamite's Haylie Duff and a girlfriend were browsing in Beauty Collection in Sherman Oaks when they came upon a display of Jessica Simpson's clip-on hair extensions. Haylie squealed "Will you look at that POUT in every picture - trying SO hard to look sexy!" and she stuck out her lower lip and mimicked Jessica's mouth. They both laughed and Hayley picked up a shank of the fake hair and held it to her head "How could she put her NAME on something like this?" "For the MONEY, that's how!" the friend informed her, as they walked away giggling.

Jessica Simpson is taking secret cookery lessons so she can serve up a home-cooked meal to boyfriend John Mayer on St Valentine's Day (14FEB07). The famously ditzy singer/actress is planning to show off her culinary skills during a planned 10 February (07) get-together with Mayer, who will be touring on St Valentine's Day itself. A source tells Life + Style magazine, "She's been taking cooking classes and poring over cookbooks, trying to come up with the perfect meal. I think John will be impressed."
The couple has yet to come clean about their romance, but after denying initial rumours of a love match last year (06), Simpson and Mayer were spotted together at parties and intimate gatherings over Christmas (06) and New Year.

U.S. singer Jessica Simpson says she was asked to leave a Los Angeles area market by the manager, who said her media following was bad for business. The singer said she was shopping for groceries when a group of photographers swooped in trying to get a shot of Simpson shopping in the store, Teen Hollywood said.
Simpson said the store manager gave her his card and said, "Jessica, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't come in during store hours."
She said the manager said he'd open the store early or she could come by after business hours.
"I looked at him kind of shocked," Simpson said. "Then I was just mad, not at him, but at the situation. I couldn't even live my normal life anymore."

Jessica Simpson reportedly defied her dad over the holidays and skipped out on being a Britney Spears, Paris Hilton type paid party girl to head to Gotham and watch the ball drop with her new pal John Mayer. Reports vary on how serious the two singers are about each other. In Touch Weekly will report this week that it may be more Jessica than John. The weekly entertainment magazine runs this item on the website: Jessica Simpson has a smile on her face again - and insiders say it’s all thanks to singer John Mayer. But Jessica’s friends are worried that she’s more serious about John than he is about her. For example, when he went home to spend the recent holidays with his parents in Fairfield, Conn., he never even mentioned his new girlfriend.
“Jessica didn’t come up once in conversation,” John’s dad, Richard, tells In Touch exclusively. But Richard insists his son is “very private” about his love life. “We never pry,” he tells the magazine. Fans of Jessica all seem to be pulling for a solid relationship for Jessica and her new guitar player. But John Mayer fans seem to think that the talented songwriter dating a pop starlet like Jessica Simpson is a very poor choice. But if it is love - who can argue?

Jessica Simpson, was in New York to ring in the New Year – with her pal John Mayer. The pair, who have been linked in the past, arrived together in the Hudson Hotel's VIP room just after 2:10 a.m. and held court for about 40 minutes in a sofa nook across the room from Christina Aguilera's entourage, which included her husband Jordan Bratman. Simpson and Mayer also spent time together in the days leading up to New Year's Eve. They were spotted having dinner at The Mercer Kitchen on Friday, walking around BarneysNew York on Saturday, and hanging out at the Comedy Cellar that night.
