Jessica Nominated in the MMA 2006

Zany comedies Wedding Crashers and The 40-Year-Old Virgin have topped this year's MTV Movie Awards nominations with five gongs apiece. The two films will compete with King Kong, Sin City and Batman Begins for the Best Movie Prize, while Virgin's Steve Carell will fight for the Best Performance honour with Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Rachel McAdams and Terrence Howard. Batman Begins' Christian Bale, Jessica Alba (Sin City), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter + The Goblet Of Fire), Kate Beckinsale (Underworld: Evolution) and Ewan McGregor (Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith) will fight it out for the Best Hero prize while the Best Villains race is between Harry Potter bad guy Ralph Fiennes, Darth Vader Hayden Christensen and Batman foe Cillian Murphy, among others. In other categories, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo star Rob Schneider will compete with Beyonce Knowles (The Pink Panther), Alba, and Jessica Simpson (Dukes Of Hazzard) for the Sexiest Performance honour. And parents-to-be Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are favourites to claim the Best Fight for their rumble in Mr + Mrs Smith. The 2006 MTV Movie Awards will air on 8 June.

Levine confronts Lachey over Simpson rumors

Maroon 5 star Adam Levine aided his reported love rival Nick Lachey's post-marriage recovery by confronting him with the truth at a Los Angeles bar. Lachey chose not to address rumours his wife Jessica Simpson has been unfaithful when stories about her romancing Levine and Jackass stars Bam Margera and Johnny Knoxville hit publications last year (05). But when she went public with the couple's split in November (05), Lachey admits he did wonder whether there was any truth in the reports. Now, pouring his heart out in a new Rolling Stone interview, Lachey reveals Levine did track him down at a party to make sure the two singers were cool with each other. Lachey recalls, "He came over to me to clear the air. It was a two minute conversation. He said to me, 'Nothing happened while you guys were married.' He looked me in the eyes and said that, so I chose to believe him. Maybe it's naive of me." But Lachey insists he'd still consider taking his estranged wife back - even if the infidelity rumours are true. He adds, "Even if she cheated five times over, I still love her. Love is not the easiest thing to cut off."

Nick gave interviews for Rolling Stone and US Weekly and he said some interesting things about his marriage
And he told, that he was really surprised when Jessica called off. He said they were driving home from a dinner following the American Music Awards when his wife “said something about how we hadn’t really been getting along and then said, ‘I think I want a divorce.’” Lachey said he asked Simpson to “sleep on it” but her mind was unchanged the following day.
Lachey revealed that on the day she filed for divorce, Dec. 16, he visited Simpson at her parents’ house and begged her to work on saving their marriage by going to counseling together.
“I thought we owed it to ourselves to try … but she didn't want to go.”
Lachey said he doesn’t blame his ex-wife. “Marriage is the toughest thing in the world. To blame her is bullshit.”
He said his former father-in-law, Joe Simpson, is also not to blame but admitted he was “an influence” in the marriage. Lachey refused to confirm reports that Simpson was unfaithful during their marriage – but fell short of denying them.
“I'd marry her all over again. Because I still love her. It would be a lot easier to walk away if I didn't.”

Nick Lachey: I still love Jessica

Nick Lachey has readily admitted that he still has feelings for his almost ex-wife Jessica Simpson. The handsome serial dater took some time off from hanging out with beautiful girls to grant an interview on April 4 on The Bert Show, an Atlanta-based radio program, reports In Touch Magazine.

The weekly magazine will report that a friend of the former boy-bander explained that while Nick is in terrific physical shape, insiders say he’s emotionally drained. After all, Nick may act like a tough guy, but it’s not easy for anyone to shut the door on love.
"He and Jessica were married for three years," a pal tells the magazine. "It's natural that he still thinks about her.
But in Australia - the buxom blonde was reportedly in tears. The magazine speculates that perhaps Nick's "I love You" confession may have stirred emotions she thought were long gone.
It seems like a real long shot - but indeed fans of the couple are still desperately holding out - hoping that something, anything can reunite the couple before the divorce is final.

American star Jessica Simpson has arrived in Australia as a last minute guest for this week's MTV Australian Video Music Awards. The singer/actress, whose sister Ashlee Simpson is hosting the event in Sydney on Wednesday night, arrived on an early morning Qantas flight from Los Angeles. She was ushered through a VIP customs exit, greeted by around a dozen photographers and television camera crews.
"I'm so excited. It's been so long since I've been here," the 25-year-old said.
Organisers would not say what role Simpson would have in the MTV event, which will be held at Sydney's Olympic Park on Wednesday. But the starlet, who was wearing a white jacket, ripped jeans and brown cowboy boots, said she was looking forward to seeing her sister: "I can't wait to see her."<

Jessica Simpson is set to star in a movie remake of 'Baywatch'. The actress will play a sexy lifeguard in the film version of the hit 90s show, which turned Pamela Anderson into a star. The 'Newlyweds' beauty may even copy Pamela's famous slow-motion running in
the movie.
A source is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Jessica really caught the eye in 'The Dukes of Hazzard' film last summer.
"She was the unanimous choice for the 'Baywatch' role."
The insider added: "Jessica has all the assets to make the part her own."
Jessica apparently won't have any problem flaunting her curves in one of the skimpy red swimsuits worn by the film's lifeguards - because she loves her
breasts.
The Pizza Hut pitchwoman has been plugging ProActiv skin care products and traveling to Washington, D.C., to promote her charity, Operation Smile. One pal of the star said: "She's looking really gaunt and thin. In the past Jessica leaned heavily on her estranged husband Nick Lachey for support. What Jess desperately needs is a vacation."
